01. Reservation Policy



  • Booking deposit : An initial payment of 25% of the total price is required to hold any reservation.

  • The rest is due before the rental period begins or on arrival. 

  • Damage deposit: Before the rental period begins a $500 deposit is collected in case of damage to the property. This deposit should be refunded after the final inspection.



Acceptable payment can be anything from PayPal, Stripe, Venmo, direct bank transfer or cash.



By booking with us you agree to the following house rules:

1.  Maximum occupancy 2 guests. 
And because of the depth of the pool only children over twelve.

2. No smoking
inside the house.

3. No parties. 
No drugs or prostitution will be tolerated. Any trace or notice of drug use will be reported to the police.

4. Please turn off air conditioner when not in use.
Excessive usages of electricity - above 30 kw per day- will be charged . (see POWER )

5. Guest takes full responsibility for any accidents
,injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the house. The use the swimming pool is under the guest’s responsibility.

6. Check in time after 3pm. Check out before 11:00 am. 
Any guest who is still at the property after 1:30pm will be charged for an extra night.

7. Any keys lost will result in a $60 USD fine 
to cover the costs of replacement. 
By booking at La Tropical , you agree to all of the above rules.


POWER To encourage responsible use of air conditioning, guests are responsible for the electricity they consume over 30kw per day which will suffice wit normal use (due to electricity costs many Airbnb’s in Yucatan will charge you for power use) Electricity is measured per kwh and the meter will be read at check-in and check-out to determine usage. Current rate is 2.4 Mexican pesos per kwh.

02. Cancelation Policy

Our guest will receive a full refund if booking is cancelled at least 14 days before the start of the stay. 

If you cancel 7-14  days before the start of the stay, they will receive a 50% refund. 

If you cancel within 7 days of the start of the stay, no refund will be given
